6/16/2017: I presented "Complainer's Dilemma" at the Seventh Biennial Conference on Social Dilemmas at UMass Amherst. Thanks to Angela de Oliveira for organizing. All of the papers were excellent. A few highlights were the three field/lab experiments on charitable by Marco Castillo, Ragan Petrie and Laura Gee, Charlie Holt's presentation on choice of partners and scale of interaction in a prisoner's dilemma, Catherine Eckel's presentation on whether subjects can identify "trustworthiness" from photographs, Jim Cox's axiomatic treatment of other regarding preferences, Andrea Robbett's paper on "Expressive Voting", and Alistair Wilson's presentation on the predictive power of folk-theorems in an informational dilemma.
